Proposed Traffic Management Plan for the GSC Underpass/Interchanges Project Phase 2
Mary GraceWith the completion of the first phase of the General Santos City Underpass/Interchanges Project, the Local Government of General Santos, through the initiative of the project contractor Vicente T. Lao Construction and in coordination with the Department of Public Works and Highways, will be conducting a dry run on the proposed traffic management plan for Phase 2.
The second phase of the project covers the concreting works (PCCP) of the 8-meter access road on the outer lanes of the project site. Five (5) meters (per direction) of the inner lanes shall be passable and open to motorists. This phase is expected to be completed in 45 to 60 days.
Here is the proposed traffic management plan:
Going to the CITY PROPER – Take the inner lane of the underpass project, then turn right to the Bulaong Avenue
Going to MABUHAY – Take the inner lane of the underpass project, then turn right to Dacera Avenue. Alternatively, motorists may traverse Aparente Street from the National Highway (Digos-Makar Road).
Going to APOPONG – Take the inner lane of the underpass project all the way through the end of the project worksite. Motorists may also take the alternate route via the Olaer Bridge at Yumang Street Extension.
From MABUHAY to CITY PROPER – From Dacera Avenue, turn left to Salvani Street.
Please note that LEFT TURNS ARE NOT ALLOWED within the project worksite.

PANOORIN | Ipinanukalang Traffic Management Plan para sa Phase 2 ng GSC Underpass/Interchanges Project
Sa pagtatapos ng unang bahagi ng General Santos City Underpass/Interchanges Project, ang LGU GenSan, sa inisyatibo ng project contractor na Vicente T. Lao Construction at pakikipag-ugnayan sa DPWH, ay magsasagawa ng ‘dry run’ ng proposed traffic management plan para sa Phase 2 sa Lunes, Enero 30.
Sa Phase 2 ng proyekto, isasagawa ang pagkokonkreto ng 8 metrong lapad na access roads sa bawat gilid ng underpass project. Bubuksan naman ang tig-limang (5) metrong lapad na inner lanes sa publiko at mga motorista. Inaasahang matatapos ang bahaging ito sa loob ng 45 hanggang 60 na araw.
Narito ang iminungkahing traffic management plan:
Papuntang CITY PROPER (downtown) – Baybayin ang inner lane ng underpass project at lumiko sa kanan papunta Bulaong Avenue.
Papuntang MABUHAY – Baybayin ang inner lane ng underpass project at lumiko pa-kanan sa Dacera Avenue. Maaari ring dumaan sa Aparente Street mula sa National Highway (Digos-Makar Road).
Papuntang APOPONG – Baybayin ang inner lane ng underpass project hanggang sa dulo ng project worksite. Maaari ring dumaan sa Olaer Bridge sa Yumang Street Extension.
Mula MABUHAY papuntang CITY PROPER (downtown) – Mula sa Dacera Avenue, lumiko sa kaliwa papuntang Salvani Street.
Pakatandaan na MAHIGPIT NA PINAGBABAWAL ANG LEFT TURNS sa project worksite.
Pinapayuhan ang lahat ng motorista na planuhin nang maigi ang inyong ruta upang hindi na higit pang maabala. Maraming salamat sa pag-intindi.]
